The Granite Shop Five Year Certificate of Warranty

Congratulations on choosing the timeless elegance of stone for your project. The Granite Shop meticulously selects and uses only top quality granite and quartz, carefully manufactured and color matched for consistency and durability. Natural or manufactured stone is the most beautiful addition to your home and one of the wisest investments you can make in luxury and convenience. The Granite Shop is proud to be your fabricator and installer and we are committed to your satisfaction. As members of the Marble Institute of America (MIA), we embrace their high standards and policies of manufacturing and customer care.

The Granite Shop warranty covers defects in material, fabrication and installation. This warranty applies only to granite or manufactured stone installed in its original location by The Granite Shop for a period of 5 years from its original purchase. This warranty is transferable to future owners of your home. If there are any defects in materials, fabrication or installation we will repair or replace the defect item with the same grade and quality of material as the original using an acceptable color match, accepting that there are natural variations in veining and color with natural stone.

For this warranty to be valid the customer must submit a claim to The Granite Shop’s production department via phone or email and permit an inspection if needed. This warranty does not cover cracking or shrinking of flexible caulks due to age or thermal movement of the home. Defects in materials do not include natural variations in color or physical properties that are normal for most natural stones. This warranty does not cover the cost of repairs or replacements undertaken prior to the customer's receipt of a claim acknowledgement and verification from The Granite Shop.

This warranty is considered void under the following circumstances:

surface staining or etching by leaving acidic or aggressive chemicals in contact with the material for excessive periods of time

  • surface chipping and scratching caused by negligence and abuse
  • house settling or foundation movement due to any cause
  • cabinet movement due to any cause
  • excessive loading or standing on the countertop
  • damage by fire or any natural disaster
  • failure by the customer to exercise reasonable care in using the product
